Description:
Provides support to one or more functional areas of human resources, such as recruiting, labor relations, compensation, benefits, payroll and/or organizational development. Processes and coordinates various paperwork. Gathers information and prepares reports. Maintains and distributes current employee information and other communications. 3 years related experience.

This position is also responsible for the administration of the company's employee benefit plans. Provides ongoing benefits customer service support to employees, former employees, and field Human Resources staff through verbal and written media in a team environment.

  • Process HR transactions in PeopleSoft including new hires, pay increases, promotions, demotions and transfers.
  • Perform audit procedures to verify the accuracy of information entered within PeopleSoft along with identifying any additional data integrity opportunities.
  • Provide functional support for HR systems in areas such as Learning Management and Performance Management
  • Administration of tuition reimbursement and service award policies
  • Research and resolve HR data processing related opportunities by coordinating with the Operating Company or members of the Human Resources Service Center.
  • Respond to HR questions via phone and email. Responsible for taking action to resolve employee issues with a high degree of accuracy, interfacing with vendors, management and employees; as well as the other team members.
  • Administer employee benefit plans such as Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Short/Long-Term Disability, Flexible Spending Accounts and other programs as implemented
  • Respond to benefit questions via phone and email. Responsible for taking action to resolve employee issues with a high degree of accuracy, interfacing with vendors, management and employees; as well as the other team members
  • Responsible for PeopleSoft Benefit Administration processing, which includes accurate and timely data entry and error resolution
  • Review various vendor eligibility and error reports to ensure all information is passing correctly for employees and dependents. Troubleshoot issues as needed
  • Support the annual Open Enrollment process.
  • Support team members from all functional areas.
  • Conduct benefits training
  • Run audit reports and special one-off requests from the Field
  • Coordinate employment verification with third party vendor
  • Identify, suggest and implement ongoing process improvements.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate, plus 2 to 4 years experience in HR & Benefits, preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Benefits Administration and Benefit Plan provisions, required
  • Willingness to work in a team environment, required
  • Self-motivated and independent problem solving ability, required
  • Customer service and call center experience, preferred
  • Spanish speaking skills, desired
  • PeopleSoft experience, desired
  • Proven written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information, required
  • Ability to manage multi tasks with frequent interruption, required
  • Computer skills, including word processing, excel spreadsheet and database within a Windows environment

    Compensation:

    Negotiable, Based on experience
